In 2022 I joined the Flexible AI-enabled Mechatronic Systems Lab where I helped expand the team and begin work on a series of interconnected 6 DOF robotic arms, with the goal of using computer vision to recognize surgical tools and use specially crafted end effectors to operate with them.
Utilizing Yahboom robotic arms, I worked on linking the robotic actuators together and controlling them so that they worked together, all while building a ROS environment and setting up the Raspberry Pi software to communicate back to a main hub computer.
Furthermore a robotic car mounted with a LIDAR was built and navigation software was initialized enabling further work to couple both systems.
I also partook in Universal Robot's Cobot training courses for their UR10e robot, currently under instillation at NYU Tandon's Makerspace.
